Winter prep tips – selling your home

If you’ve been thinking about your next move, winter is a great time to start preparing your home to sell. Here is your checklist to get started:

1. Find your listing agent – this one is easy! I am right here and ready to help you list your home.
2. Do your research – Let’s talk price, we can work together, explore comps and research where we should set the price to maximize interest and the amount of offers.
3. Declutter and Stage – this is fun part! It’s time to start going through those boxes in the back of your closet or those ones you shoved in the garage. Drop off those items to local non-profits who could give them a new life.
4. Do a deep clean – this may not be my favorite part but the results are so great! If it’s not your thing, hire a professional cleaning service to get you moving.
5. Make Strategic Updates – Once you’ve done your research, you can decide what, if anything, you need to renovate! We can work together on this step!
6. Improve Curb Appeal – First impressions are extremely important when it comes time to sell. There are basics like making sure the lawn is manicured. Beyond that, we can take some steps to dress things up! To give the house a little life and a pop of color, you can paint the front door in a trendy shade or buy potted plants and other things that you can easily take with you when you move.
